Music Worship Workshops

Leading Music Worship is what I love but it has long been a part of my job to teach others how to lead music worship with their eyes fixed on the Lord an with the best skill that they can. I would love the opportunity to teach your music worship team whether they be a youth group, college group, or a mixed church group! I would love to hear from you and know about your group's needs!

I have a BA in Religious Studies with a minor in music (Appalachian State University) and an MA in Christian Ministries (Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary) and all of these things plus my 10 years of leading music worship combine to help fuel my teaching on music worship leadership. Take a look on the bottom of the page to see what people have to say about my teaching!

Areas that I would focus on in workshops would be:

  • a theology or ideology of music worship (why we do it and how we do it)
  • how to care for your own soul and relationship with Jesus as you lead
  • how to care for your band well
  • basic music theory for the music worship leader
  • vocal strengthening for singers
  • knowing where your instrument fits in within the whole band
  • leadership skills
  • the role of each instrument in the band
Since Samantha joined our team, our worship band went from being a good band to learning what it means to lead others in worship. Her heart for them to know the Lord, be lead by Scripture, and proclaim the truth is evident. Our students have learned and put into practice what it means to lead others to worship the Lord through music while growing in their own walk.”

— Josh Lawrence, Spiritual Life Coordinator at Coastal Christian High School

Sam had such a God centered Gospel focus in the way she taught, mentored and discipled our worship team. She has such a strong vision and commitment that worship leading is lead worshipping, which was transformative in the lives of our students. We view worship and leadership and the privilege of lead worshiping differently because of God’s work through and in her.”

— Shandi Harris, Christian Campus Fellowship Women's Minister in Rolla, MO.
